Aqib Talib Tells Cops He Was Too Intoxicated To Know Who Shot Him

Via NBC Sports- “If police were unclear about who fired the shot that ended up going through Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib’s leg, then they gained no clarity from talking to him. According to Rebecca Lopez of WFAA, Talib told police he was at a park (not a strip club) and that he couldn’t recall much about the incident. “Everything was a blur and I was too intoxicated to remember what happened,” Talib reportedly told the Dallas Police Department. Well, that’s one way around the speculation that he might know the culprit. But it does nothing to make this story any less bizarre, on a day when the rest of the Broncos are at the White House being congratulated for winning the Super Bowl.”

Aqib Talib is a lot of things. A 1st round draft pick, a 3 time Pro-Bowler, a Super Bowl Champion; but he ain’t no snitch. Talib has had his share of run-ins with the law, but hell who hasn’t am I right? One thing I have noticed about Talib and his criminal past is that he paid attention to Cris Carters speech at the rookie symposium…the guy ALWAYS has a fall guy. However, getting shot this time around left my boy Talib in a bit of a pickle, but like always he is finagling his way out of it like the crime expert he is.

First, Talib attempted the old “I shot myself approach.” Then he remembered what happened to Plaxico Burress which then led him to my go to bulletproof, works 60% of the time every time excuse. “Everything was a blur and I was too intoxicated to remember what happened” I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure this holds up in a court of law. It’s the closest thing out there to pleading the fifth.
